SPIN
SPIN was recently remounted at Cambridge Galleries (Idea Exchange) for Phil Kline’s Unsilent Night in December 2014. The project was originally realized for Nuit Blanche Toronto in 2012. SPIN is a large-scale projection-based installation that utilizes traditional stop-motion animation techniques. Through this installation I explored the concepts of motion and light. Each of these elements denotes distinctive qualities yet, when combined together produces a stunning sensory experience at such a large scale.Curated by Suzanne Luke, Robert Langen Art Gallery, Wilfrid Laurier University.
SPIN was an official Independent Project of Scotiabank Nuit Blanche.
A special thanks to Christie Digital, the Ontario Arts Council, and Wilfrid Laurier University for their support of this project.
